Paul Smith London
Paul Smith got into fashion by complete accident. At age 16, and with no career plans or qualifications, Paul Smith started working in a clothing warehouse in his native Nottingham. After a serious cycling accident put him in hospital for months, he eventually fell in with a crowd who met at a local pub frequented by students from the local art college. The talk of colour, form and texture stirred his creativity and two years later he opened his first boutique.
After 20 years at the top, Paul Smith is now an established part of the British fashion scene, producing high-end, quality men’s wear for everyone. His Paul Smith London Line is specifically tailored towards the city worker, giving those who work in the high-pressure world of the City a chance to look the part in the best quality suits, shirts and accessories. Reasonably priced but never skimping on the quality, Paul Smith London Line is a firm favourite amongst those working nine to five in the financial and creative industries. The collection is always fresh and exciting, with plenty of personal touches to raise it out of the mundane ‘city uniform’ and into the world of haute couture. Still very much a part of the design process, Paul Smith himself is continually involved and committed to pushing the brand forward, bringing new and exciting developments on the supposedly standard city suit. The label is a global phenomenon, exported to nearly 40 countries around the world and Paul Smith London Line is an integral part of that brand identity.
